Good to know

When do the Christmas markets open in 2026?

Manchester opens first, in the first week of November, then Budapest, Vienna, Copenhagen and Cologne in mid November. Most of the others open between 19 and 28 November. Prague, Brussels, Tallinn, Riga, Copenhagen and Salzburg run into January. Each city page lists the official 2026 dates, hours and the organiser's website.

How do I book a walk?

Send the request form with your city, date, time and group size. Within a day we confirm the host and the price, then send a payment link by email. Your walk is confirmed once paid.

How much does a walk cost?

The Christmas market walk starts at EUR 69 per person, CHF 69 in Switzerland,, with the small tasting included. The exact price for your city and group size comes with our reply, before you pay anything. Company evenings are quoted per group.

How big is the group?

Up to 8 guests per host. Private walks for your group alone are available on request. Company evenings and larger groups split between hosts, one host per 8 to 12 guests.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 7 days or more before the walk for a full refund. Inside 7 days the walk is charged. Date changes are free up to 7 days before, subject to host availability.

Do the walks run in bad weather?

Yes. Christmas markets are outdoors and so are the walks. Dress warmly; the Glühwein helps. In the rare case of a market closure for safety reasons, we move the date or refund in full.

Is the walk in English?

English by default. German, French, Italian, Spanish and other languages are available in most cities on request; mention it in the form.

Are the walks suitable for children?

Yes, the classic walk works well for families, and Vienna, Nuremberg, Colmar and Stockholm have markets made for children. Tell us the ages and the host adapts the pace.

Who are the hosts?

Locals from the LocalBini network, vetted and reviewed: historians, food writers, architects, former city guides and people who have known their market since childhood.
