Albert Square and nine city centre sites
Tivoli in lights, stalls along the Nyhavn quay and hygge everywhere.
Checked against the organiser in October 2026. The official site is the authoritative source.
Copenhagen does Christmas as hygge: Tivoli's gardens are lit with hundreds of thousands of lights from mid November, Nyhavn's coloured houses get stalls along the quay, and Højbro Plads hosts a market with stalls from Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. All three are within a twenty minute walk.
The local specialty: Æbleskiver and gløgg, and the Danish hygge of candles in every window.
One hour with your host and a small tasting of the local specialty, from EUR 69 per person. Company evenings run two hours with tastings and a table to finish. How the hour works
Your host meets you at Højbro Plads, walks you through the market and along Strøget to Nyhavn with a gløgg and æbleskiver on the quay, through the lanes to Kongens Nytorv, and on to Tivoli's gates with the story of Danish Christmas, from the nisser to the rice pudding with the hidden almond. Tivoli itself is an option to finish, with admission.
Your host is a Copenhagen local from the LocalBini network who knows the city's Christmas markets and what hygge means in December.
Within a day you hear back with the host, the meeting point and the price for your group.
